by TravelAnyway | I was given the privilege to attend one of the gatherings of Sangkalikasan Reefbuddies last April. I tell you, I experienced a whole lot more. I finished a scuba-diving course and saw the amazing natural resources of the island like the waterfalls, hot and cold springs, and even the nearby islands. Read more of that in my Secret Cove Spot!
by TravelAnyway | I attended one of Davao’s popular festival in Mati- The Sambuokan Festival, a thanksgiving celebration for a bountiful harvest and community progress. But the festival’s best attraction for me was the beach of course. They have fine white sand, clear blue water, and amazing waves in the line up and on shore making it perfect for nice longboard rides and skim boarding!
by TravelAnyway | If you’re looking for some adrenaline rush and sure-fire connection with nature, you should definitely try canyoneering. Cebu is a good recommendation and I love how the Cebu tourism and local government are maintaining the trek and training the locals how to keep the tourist activity sustainable and environment-friendly.
by TravelAnyway | Camiguin, a tiny beautiful island in the northern side of Mindanao, is known as the island born of fire. Personally this place is extra special because of how peaceful the place is, away from commercialism and noisy tourists and the warmth of the locals definitely makes me feel at home.
